FARO Foundation has established a formal partnership with the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications and the international non-governmental organisation People in Need. The three parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly implement measures aimed at improving digital literacy and digital skills among citizens across Mongolia.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications B. Battsetseg, People in Need Country Representative B. Mungunkhishig and FARO Foundation Executive Director B. Namuun officially signed the agreement. The partnership aligns with national policy frameworks and the strategic objectives of the Ministry. These directives include the Vision 2050 development policy, the Government Action Plan for 2020 to 2024, the long-term development policy action plan for 2021 to 2030, the five-year development guidelines for 2021 to 2025, the Digital Nation guidelines and the Action Plan to Improve Universal Digital Skills and Competencies for 2022 to 2026.
The collaboration brings together institutional expertise to advance digital inclusion and safety. People in Need operates in 24 countries alongside its operations in Mongolia. The organisation delivers humanitarian and development assistance while promoting human rights, democratic values and educational advancement.
As a signatory to this agreement, FARO Foundation will continue advancing its core mission to ensure the accessible and proper use of digital platforms in Mongolia. Our work focuses on implementing online safety and child protection programmes, promoting responsible digital behaviour and raising public awareness regarding cybercrime prevention.
